TECHNICAL PROFILE

Microsoft SharePoint 2010 was chosen as a platform for hosting the EMP, due to its set of integrated features that leads to considerable improvement in productivity and the reduced costs for development and implementation. EMP inherits the following features of SP 2010 and utilizes them to achieve the enterprise goal.

  • Personalized user experience and cross browser compatibility: Has a clean and simple UI interface consistent across all modules with configurable components (e.g.: logos, labels).

  • Seamless integration: System has single sign-on (SSO) ability to integrate with any other web applications.

    Document Management system:
    EMP refines the elements of the core context and strategy. This system includes metadata management and content search.
    Survey/FeedbackSystem:
    Enables user to initiate a customer / employee survey OR other surveys to connect with the current and future needs of our clients.
    Action/Plan Tracking:
    Enables user to initiate and monitor action items /to-dos for strategy plan deployment. The system has an alert and reminder generation mechanism.

    Dashboard:
    Enables the team in tracking essential CRM KPIs and reports with alerts.
    CRM System:
    Helps account managers maintain the history of activity/work log for each customer. The system enables users to maintain key clientele and also has a ticketing system accessible for customers for resolution of issues.
    Proposal generator:
    Wizard based system to pre-populate proposal templates (stored in template repository) and provide an option to download the same.
    Competitive Intelligence:
    Data entry system where marketing personnel can create and maintain competitor’s information for analysis.

    This is workspace designed for knowledge workers to understand and deploy company processes, and for employees to create a knowledge repository.

    Document Management system:
    where organization members can upload documents/references/’how to’ guides tagged with metadata. This system includes metadata management and content search.
    Community Discussion Board:
    Organization members can collaborate and share ideas with each other.
    Business Continuity Plan and Tracking:
    Disaster recovery workflow with tracking module explaining the steps to be rolled out in emergency situations.

    Employee can view and submit electronic review forms to Project Manager. The system has inbuilt alerts at set frequency for review reminders.
    NST Book:
    Collaboration site (e.g.: My Site in SharePoint) for each user, where user can publish / share their views on various topics.
    Idea Board:
    web based suggestion box, used by employees to request responses from executive team on specific matters.

    Dashboard:
    KPIs are summarized at the corporate level and give metrics that can be used to determine the overall health of the organization.
    Performance Review:
    Where the assessment of performance levels and trends can be viewed.
    Action Plans:
    The facility to translate the assessment of results into corrective action plans, or resetting goals to reflect changing market conditions and our performance.
